2nd Feb 2022 Restart Scheme

Having moved from Poland to Wales, Filip’s* English language barrier meant he was struggling to secure the roles he applied for.

Leah, his Remploy Job Coach, identified that he did not have a CV or any recent interview practice. Together they worked on developing a good quality CV that accurately demonstrated his experience and transferable skillset.

The next step was to set up a meeting with a Recruitment Agent for Filip to explore suitable roles that were currently available in the area.

Filip found out about a local Open Day with a large industrial employer, and the recruiter was able to give insight about their working culture and what roles were on offer. Armed with this knowledge about the job and company, Filip attended the Open Day and applied for a full-time role. Through the support and encouragement he received via the Restart Scheme, Filip was successful in his application and has started his new position.

Job Coach, Leah said: “By bringing together the know-how of the Recruitment Agent and the employer’s Regional Account Manager, the pre-employability training we offered on the Restart Scheme had a real impact on Filip’s journey. He was work-ready and prepared to efficiently move into a sustainable, professional role."
