Mapyx Limited, a Geographic Information Solutions (GIS) provider delivers tracking solutions throughout the UK for the public and private sector. The company is now the sole GIS provider for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards and regularly coordinate with mission control during search and rescue operations.

Having relocated the company to Devon in early 2017, Managing Director, Steve Wood remains optimistic about the potential that the local business landscape promises. “Our focus has been on research and development since 2009 and we have made significant headway with regards to the technology that we offer our Clients. This focus on development means that we are confident in our product and we are keen to find new ways to bring it to market. We know our business well but the advice we have received has identified areas of the business that would be beneficial to explore further as well as develop a meaningful strategy to reach a wider target audience.”

Steve and his team have realigned their business model so that focus on R&D, networking and marketing activity now bear an equal weighting.
