Where has the year gone? It's Easter already and we are heading into the summer months. Hopefully we will have the weather to match the time of year.
Hopefully the events of the pandemic will be less intrusive as we move through the year. However, here at Serco we are fully aware that the effects are still being felt within your settings and we remain totally flexible to the stresses and strains that this can put on you and will do everything we can to assist wherever and whenever required.
CMDA for Schools
This quarter we have seen one cohort complete their level 6 and subject to Award Board approval will be awarded their degree status and more importantly, once their EPA is completed, will have the opportunity to attend their very own GRADUATION CEREMONY! We have also seen a cohort progress from level 4 to level 5 and move into the second year of their programme, a big well done this group. There has also been an additional three learners who joined the cohort having completed their Level 4 SBP Apprenticeship and are now starting their CMDAS journey!
March has seen three learners complete their EPA and i am pleased to say that they all have passed with flying colours gaining a Distinction Grade. Two of these learners have already indicated their interest in progressing to gain their Masters so this is a big step towards their end goal.
In the coming months we will see at least another four learners head for their EPA and i am keeping my fingers crossed that we will maintain our 100% record for the year, so good luck to all those involved.
We are also working closely with the University of Gloucester as we move through 2022 for the last face-to-face workshop of the year to be hosted by the University on their Business School Campus to give a true taste and feel of what it is like to be a student at university. More information on this to come!
SLMDA-SBP & SLA-SBP(MBA)
2022 will see the final units of the trail blazing SLMDA-SBP being completed with two cohorts completing their final modules and progressing to their Masters status! Good luck to all involved, it will be a massive achievement for you all - well done!
This year has also seen the first of our Senior Leaders MBA Apprenticeship for School Business Professionals start, and we wish all of those involved our best as they follow in the footsteps of our first two level 7 cohorts to gain their Masters.
I and my team at Serco wish you all the very best for the coming months and we continue to look forward to working with you all
Best wishes
Dave and the Team

A piece of information i wanted to highlight to you within this newsletter is: Are you aware of the six principles of Adult Safeguarding?
People are supported and encouraged to make their own decisions and informed consent.
"I am asked what i want as the outcomes from the safeguarding process and this directly informs what happens"
It is better to take action before harm occurs.
"I receive clear and simple information about what abuse is. I know how to recognise the signs, and i know what i can do to seek help"
The lease intrusive response appropriate to the risk presented.
"I am sure that the professionals will work in my interest and they will only get involved as much as necessary"
Support and representation for those in greatest need
"I get help and support to report abuse and neglect. I get help so that i am able to take part in the safeguarding process to the extent to which i want"
Services offer local solutions through working closely with their communities. Communities have a part to play in preventing, detecting and reporting neglect and abuse.
"I know that staff treat any personal and sensitive information in confirdence, only sharing what is helpful and necessary. I am confident that professionals will work together and with me to get the best result for me"
Accountability and transparancy in delivering safeguarding.
"I understand the role of everyone involved in my life and so do they"
