Our employability services

For more than 10 years, Serco has been committed to supporting and improving the employment sector. Serco is passionate about working with supply chain partners and integrating local services to enable claimants, customers and job seekers to access the most effective blend of personalised support to find lasting, meaningful employment.

The current economic climate means that the employment, skills and training services we deliver are more vital than ever before.

Working side-by-side with our valued delivery partners, we combine our strengths as an integrator with the knowledge and expertise of local providers, stakeholders and research partners.

Thanks to our long-standing relationships, we have a strong network of the very best local providers who are experts in meeting the specific needs of individuals in each region. Our proven delivery model allows local SMEs to deliver publicly funded contracts that would otherwise be out of their reach. This approach has allowed us to build a diverse network of providers from the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Serco and its provider network collaborate with a range of stakeholders, such as local authorities, prisons and charities to identify eligible individuals. Working closely with our excellent research partners including universities and our own customer experience and service design agency, ExperienceLab, we continually improve and evolve our services.

Our own expertise is underpinned by a depth and breadth of service delivery – including health, education and skills, business support, family-related services, offender management and local government.

Our Values

Our culture is based on a set of four values - Trust, Care, Innovation, Pride - that shape our individual behaviours and hence the way the company behaves. They ensure we are all working from a commonly understood base that can be consistently applied across our organisation.

Our values need to be lived every day, used to help us work through any challenges we may face and help us recognise and celebrate our achievements. They guide us in our dealings with colleagues, customers, suppliers, partners, stakeholders and the communities we serve.
