Our commitment to the sector

In 2019 with foresight of the likely impacts of Brexit on the labour market, we invested in research activity to forensically examine the characteristics, needs and experiences of today’s jobseeker.

In early 2020, as the effect the pandemic would have on the job market became clear, we were well positioned to expand our ongoing research to include the emerging needs of a workforce displaced by the impact of COVID-19.

Working with our own customer experience and service design agency, ExperienceLab alongside Universities and sector specialists, the findings of this research will inform the evolution of our service delivery in order that participant needs are truly at its heart.

With the labour market changing rapidly, so must our response to this job crisis. We continue to invest in research to understand how we can best support the unemployed and improve our services. What does not change is our commitment to helping get people back to work, to working with partners, large and small and to use evidence to build our solutions.

Our delivery

Working side-by-side with our valued delivery partners, we combine our strengths as an integrator with the knowledge and expertise of local providers, stakeholders and research partners.

Thanks to our long-standing relationships, we have a strong network of the very best local providers who are experts in meeting the specific needs of individuals in each region. Our proven delivery model allows local SMEs to deliver publicly funded contracts that would otherwise be out of their reach. This approach has allowed us to build a diverse network of providers from the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Serco and its provider network collaborate with a range of stakeholders, such as local authorities, prisons and charities to identify eligible individuals. Working closely with our excellent research partners we continually improve and evolve our services.

Our own expertise is underpinned by a depth and breadth of service delivery – including health, education and skills, business support, family-related services, offender management and local government.

Working with you

It is by building and nurturing strong relationships with a wide range of partners from private, public and not-for-profit sectors that we best meet the needs of our customers.

We strive to work with new partners that share our values and approach to market leading service delivery.

We are a Merlin accredited prime contractor, testament to our dedication to sustainable excellence, and positive partnership working with our supply chain.
