Restart Scheme
Having applied the same rigour to finding new work as he had to every job he’d held, rejection had turned to dejection for a metal work specialist who recently joined the Restart Scheme. With some confidence building and support from Pathway Group, Jason* soon recycled his experience into a new role at a scrap metal yard.
Over the next few weeks our Employer Engagement team will be hosting online sector-specific insight sessions to inform and prepare Restart Scheme Participants in Wales and get them ready for work.
It is assumed that a degree is a clear route into employment, however many graduates such as James struggle as it is often the soft skills and work experience which employers are looking for. James was supported to recognise his transferable skillset and was able to shine in job interviews and secure a permanent role.
After being out of work for a number of years, a married couple who were feeling knocked back both found work in the same month.
